On the first day, we'll pick you up from Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport, or your hotel in the Arusha area. During the 2.5-hour drive, you'll have the chance to take in the stunning natural scenery along the way. Once we arrive in Tarangire, we'll start with a game drive before enjoying a picnic lunch. Afterward, we’ll embark on another exciting game drive in the afternoon. Tarangire National Park, located 115km south of Arusha, spans 2,850 square kilometers along the Tarangire River. The park gets its name from this river, which is the only water source for wildlife during the dry season. Tarangire is known for its large elephant herds, iconic baobab trees, and tree-climbing African pythons. In the dry season, the concentration of wildlife around the Tarangire River is almost as abundant and reliable as in the Ngorongoro Crater. At the end of the day, we’ll head to the Jambo Lodge and Campsite, where you can relax, freshen up, and enjoy a delicious dinner prepared by your private cook.
In the morning, we’ll make our way to Lake Manyara for a full day of game driving. Known for its stunning panoramic views, waterfalls, flowing streams, and hot springs, Lake Manyara National Park is nestled between the Great Rift Valley's rocky cliffs and the lake itself. The park’s beauty is enhanced by its diverse landscapes, from lush forests to expansive grasslands and serene waters. Lake Manyara is home to over 400 species of water birds, including flamingos and pelicans, making it a birdwatcher’s paradise. You’ll also encounter large herds of elephants, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, and the graceful impalas. In the late afternoon, we’ll head to the Jambo Lodge and Campsite, where you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner and an overnight stay.
On this day, we’ll depart after breakfast and journey towards the Serengeti. After a scenic 4-hour drive, we’ll arrive at the park. Following lunch, we’ll embark on an exciting game drive across this stunning landscape. The Serengeti is renowned for its vast, endless plains of savannah and scattered forests. It’s also famous for the great migration, where around 1.5 million herbivores, along with thousands of predators, move in search of food due to the drought in the northern hills, heading toward the southern plains. After the rains in mid-April, they make their way back through the western part of the park. As the afternoon draws to a close, we’ll reach our campsite right in the heart of the Serengeti, where your tent will be ready. In the evening, the chef will prepare a delicious dinner for you to enjoy.
On Day 4, we’ll begin with an early morning game drive in the Serengeti, soaking in the beauty of the park as the day starts. Afterward, we’ll make our way to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, we’ll have dinner and settle in for the night at Simba Campsite. This day will also mark our first glimpse of the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and the centerpiece of the Conservation Area. Before that, we’ll enjoy another exciting game drive in the Serengeti, marveling at the incredible wildlife that calls this place home. It’s yet another day of adventure, filled with stunning sights and memorable wildlife encounters.
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater. We’ve saved the best for the last day! After breakfast, with stunning views of the crater, your 4x4 vehicle will take you 2,000 feet down into the caldera. The Ngorongoro Crater, covering 8,300 square kilometers, is the world’s largest volcanic caldera and is often regarded as one of the wonders of the world. Its beauty is not only geological but also due to its role as a unique natural sanctuary, home to some of Africa’s largest populations of big mammals. After a fulfilling lunch, we’ll leave the park and begin our journey back to Arusha or Arusha/Kilimanjaro Airport.
