From Arusha, the drive to Tarangire National Park takes approximately two hours. Upon arrival, you will embark on a full-day game drive, exploring the best areas to spot wildlife. Tarangire is known for its large elephant population, and you will also have the chance to see lions, cheetahs, and leopards. The park’s open savannah and ancient baobab trees create a stunning backdrop as you observe herds of wildebeest, buffalo, zebras, gazelles, and other herbivores roaming freely. Tarangire River, the park’s lifeline, attracts a variety of animals, making it an excellent spot for game viewing. As the sun sets, you will head to Fanaka Campsite, where you will settle in for the night. Enjoy a hearty dinner and relax under the starlit African sky. Your accommodation will be at Fanaka Safaris, Campsites & Lodges, a budget-friendly lodge located in or near Mto Wa Mbu, offering basic yet comfortable facilities for a restful night.
After an early breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, embarking on an exciting journey to find the rare black rhino, one of the most elusive animals in the crater. The Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to diverse wildlife, making it one of the best places to see Africa’s Big Five. As you drive across the crater floor, you will encounter large herds of zebras, wildebeests, elephants, buffaloes, and prides of lions basking in the sun. The enclosed nature of the crater provides excellent opportunities to observe wildlife up close. At midday, you will enjoy a picnic lunch at the hippo pool before continuing with an afternoon game drive. Later, you will ascend the crater and begin your journey to Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge or campsite, enjoy a delicious dinner, and relax for the night, preparing for more adventures the following day.

Your journey will take you to some of the park’s most renowned spots, including the Seronera River, a prime location for spotting predators such as lions and leopards. You will also visit Makoma, known for its large herds of elephants and buffalo, as well as White Stone and Black Stone, unique landmarks that serve as gathering points for various animals. As you continue, you will explore Nabi, an important migration crossing point, where you might witness the movement of wildebeests and zebras. After a thrilling day of wildlife viewing, you will return to Serengeti Taji Rest for a well-deserved dinner and relaxation.
After breakfast, you will pick up your lunch box and embark on a game drive en route, giving you one last chance to witness the incredible wildlife of the Serengeti. After the game drive, you will begin your journey back to Arusha, where you will check in at Maasai Land Lodge for a relaxing evening. Enjoy the comfort of your accommodation as you reflect on your safari adventure. The next day, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure, marking the end of your unforgettable journey in Tanzania.
